Alumni Organization

Purpose:

The School of Health Professions Alumni Organization (SHPAO) consists of SHP alumni who are members of the Mizzou Alumni Association. The SHPAO is an affiliate of the MAA, an independent, not-for-profit organization. The purpose of this organization is to provide services to its alumni constituency and to the University. Services and activities may be educational, developmental, or social and may encourage both fellowship and constructive contributions to the University.

Vision:

The School of Health Professions Alumni Organization shall champion the values of SHP: Learning, Discovery, Service, and Generosity and shall facilitate alliances between the School of Health Professions’ alumni, students, faculty, and staff in order to shape the future of SHP and the value of health professions.

Mission:

The School of Health Professions Alumni Organization is dedicated to

• Maintaining professional networks for the benefit of students, alumni, industry, faculty, and the school.
• Supporting scholarships for the advancement of student opportunities and innovation.
• Advocating for a political and financial climate of stability and growth on behalf of SHP and each of its parts.

The SHPAO strives to ensure that the School of Health Professions has a strong voice and a valued role as a school within the University of Missouri System, our community, nation, and world.
