Mission

  • To develop emerging leaders for the service of the health professions in academic, social, political and clinical practice arenas.
  • To further the mission of the MU School of Health Professions and support the best interests of the School through volunteer service, legislative advocacy, peer-to- peer educational programs, and cooperative efforts with University, alumni and peer organizations.

The Leadership Development Program

Prerequisite: Concurrent Membership in the MIZZOU Alumni Association True Tigers

  1. Annual Dean’s Team Leadership Conference in September—required
  2. Small Group Dialogues with the Dean – one per semester required
  3. Annual participation in Mizzou Legislative Day
  4. Three hours of volunteer service each semester
  5. Participation in annual service learning project
  6. One film night per semester
  7. Required attendance at two SHP or SHP Alumni Organization-sponsored events per semester
  8. One presentation to a civic, high school, alumni or student group each year
  9. Dean’s Team Monthly Meetings (5 of 8 required)
  10. Seniors will self-nominate for Mizzou 39
