Advising at SHP
The Student Affairs Office in SHP is typically open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday. Students can generally be seen by an advisor if they walk in, but we do recommend appointments for advising sessions. For information about specific degree programs, refer to the following advisors in SHP.
- Jill Diener: pre-Physical Therapy (juniors and seniors); pre-Communication Science and Disorders; on-site Health Sciences seniors)
- Cason Jones: Undeclared; pre-Clinical Laboratory Science; pre-Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound; pre-Nuclear Medicine; pre-Radiography; pre-Respiratory Therapy; pre-Occupational Therapy.
- Adam Willard: pre-Physical Therapy (freshmen and sophomores); on-site Health Sciences (freshmen-juniors)have a last name beginning with letters A-M.
- Laura Verkamp: on-site Health Sciences and pre-Physical Therapy students who are freshmen-juniors and have a last name beginning with letters N-Z. Laura also advises all online Health Sciences students

Pre-Pharmacy students should meet with a UMKC Advisor about the UMKC School of Pharmacy at MU.
Pre-Pharmacy advising for the UMKC School of Pharmacy at MU will be available on the following dates in Lewis Hall (MU Campus), room 807.
